Following on from successful tests both on the test bench and in the field KS Techniques are proud to announce the introduction of an "Automatic Lubrication System" to be used in the greasing of the Rotabloc® KPS.
The system comprises of a pump, grease reservoir and a progressive distribution device. The lubricant is distributed between the various bearings via the distribution device and its respective piping system bespoke to the machine design. In addition a flow controller monitors the satisfactory progress of lubrication.
The benefits of the system are:
- Bearing greasing is completely under control of a PLC, eliminating the human error factor
- Uniquely each individual bearing is injected according to its specific requirements on a daily basis, providing continuous care
- Cost of maintenance is reduced further because apart from visual inspection manual greasing is totally eliminated
The Rotary UPS Rotabloc® KPS is, by its very own nature, a simple machine and this can now be further enhanced by the use of the Automatic Lubrication System. The elimination of the human component in the service and operating greatly enhances system reliability.
